THANK YOU VOTERS!

We, the Board of Directors of the White River Health District/Deschutes Rim Health Clinic, are heartened by the support of the majority of voters in South County and excited about the future! We want to thank you most sincerely. Recruiting in hopes of expanded services began May 21st, the morning we got the results.

We are especially indebted to all who endorsed the levy, whether in public – on Facebook, at meetings, with yard signs and banners – or in private – in kitchens and backyards.

It will take time to grow, to hire clinicians and staff, to restructure logistics, even longer to rebuild trust. It is our fervent hope that many of you who voted no will come to see the benefit of the clinic as we get it running, thriving as we envision it. We hope you’ll make a visit. Maybe you will eventually have reason to use our services. We plan on being there.

Now the real work begins.
